Scores range from 0 to 1200 points, based on factors like age, education, work experience, and language proficiency.

Higher scores increase your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.

Recent Express Entry draws have ranged from 470-530 points for general draws, and 450-490 for category-based draws.

A score above 500 is considered very competitive.

Scores below 450 may require Provincial Nomination (+600 points) or improvements in language, education, or work experience.

The fastest ways to boost your score are: (1) Improve language test scores to CLB 9+ in all skills (+50-100 points), (2) Gain Canadian work experience (+40-80 points), (3) Obtain a Provincial Nomination (+600 points), (4) Complete a master's or PhD (+15-30 points), or (5) Get a valid Canadian job offer (+50-200 points).
